Two girl Students commit suicide in the same room

Yet another case of student suicides. This time twin suicide. The district of Kadapa became witness yet another horror in which two girls lost their lives.

Going into the details, Two Intermediate girl students Nandini P and Manisha Reddy allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves in their hostel room. The incident took place in the local Narayana Junior College in Kadapa late last night.

According to Kadapa SP Navin Gulati the incident appears to be a clear case of suicide. The sources tell us that a suicide note was found in which the girls wrote they were unable to cope up with the pressure to perform well in studies. “The note says that as they were best friends they decided to end lives together as they were unable to handle the academic stress,” the SP said.

On the other hand, parents of the girls are not convinced and accused the college management of trying to suppress facts and they suspect ragging. Angry parents attacked the college premises and smashed furniture and vandalized the offices.

The Narayana College officials said after the college classes were over at 4:30 pm all the girls had returned to their rooms as there was one hour break before study hours started at 5:30 pm. “This happened sometime after they went to their room for the break. We have informed police and it is under investigation,” an official said.
