In a shocking incident, a Telangana youth who was gunned down by military forces in Kashmir was working for the Islamic State. Last week, three militants attacked the forces in Anantnag district.
Mohammad Taufeeq was a 26 year old from Manuguru in Bhadradri Kothagudem district in Telangana. The encounter happened on the 11th of March in the Northernmost State in India.
According to a senior police official, Taufeeq was drawn to the Islamic State’s ideology through social media. He went to Kashmir to take part in terrorist activities for the Islamic State. The official also clarified that Taufeeq had no criminal cases against him in Telangana.
Hyderabad has been dealing with emerging terrorists now more than ever. The police had arrested over a dozen youngsters following the Islamic State.
