Today, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi flagged off a new express train from Mysuru railway station in Karnataka. The train Palace Queen Humsafar Express will run between Mysuru and Udaipur in Rajasthan. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was also present at the flagging ceremony along with Modi.

Modi is on a two day visit to Karnataka and he is expected to participate in various programs in Mysuru. Later, Modi will inaugurate a newly carved 630 steps on Vindhyagiri hills in Mysuru. Earlier today, Modi inaugurated the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) summit via a video conference from New Delhi. The three day WCIT summit is being held at the Hyderabad International Convention centre.
