Hyderabad: A 24-year-old student from Hyderabad who went to peruse his Masters in US, passed away in a road accident in Alabama State late on Sunday, while four of his other friends travelling in the same car suffered minor injuries.
Joy Noel Mathews, was a resident of HMT Nagar in Nacharam. He was pursuing Master of Sciences in Computers at Troy University in Alabama, a South-Eastern State of US.
Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday informed the media that Consul General, Atlanta confirmed about the car accident at Troy University in Alabama. The Ministry is making arrangements to send Mathews’s body to Hyderabad.
Sushma Swaraj tweeted: “We have lost Joy Mathew. Bharath and Vamshi of Poddutur AP have suffered serious injuries. Nikhil and Yeshawanth have minor injuries.”
