The Central Bureau of India (CBI,) on the 30th of April, raided the residences and offices of K. Raghurama Krishnam Raju, a member of Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)

The CBI officials in charge of the case also raided the Bangalore and Tamil Nadu residences and offices of the YSRCP leader.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju is a businessman and the Member of Parliament (MP) candidate and represents YSRCP from the Narasapuram constituency in Andhra Pradesh.

The Income Tax officials raided all properties owned by Raghuram after realizing he owed the bank a massive debt.

According to sources, the raids in Hyderabad, Tamil Nadu and Bangalore are currently on going and will continue for an undefined period of time.

Official documents, files and properties belonging to Raghurama Krishnam Raju have been seized.
