16 Coaches of Goods Train Derails in Odisha

In another case of a train derailed, 16 coaches of a goods train derailed in Alarpur, Odisha. The incident affected train movement after the goods train carrying fertilizer derailed at Nergundi station.

The incident took place at around 4 A.M., and fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported.

The fertilizer loaded train was traveling from Gangavaram port in Andhra Pradesh to Haibargaon in Assam.

The East Coast Railway Official reported the train movement has not been affected much as the trains are using an alternate route through Barang/Kapilas road bypassing the Cuttak station.

Although, local passenger trains that use the same line have been canceled until the derailed coaches are set back.
