You might think that Rahul Gandhi must be used to getting trolled on internet and become cautious by now. But you know what they say, keep persisting, even if you become ‘pappu.’ Speaking at the Jan Vedna conclave against the government’s demonetisation move on January 11th, Rahul Gandhi taunted the Prime Minister on his decisions.

Rahul riled Narendra Modi on various matters including his love for yoga and mimicking his “Mitron” catchphrase. He also quoted a song “Aapka toh lagta hai bas yahi sapna, ram ram japna garibo kaa maal apna” as a pun against him. The speech had hints of sarcasm to the RSS party and its direction lead by Mr. Modi. The comment that attracted the most trolls was that Bhartiya Janata Party did in two and a half years which Congress couldn’t do in 70 years. What he meant was that under BJP, institutions like the Reserve Bank of India and judiciary have weakened but he was massively trolled on social media for some of his comments.

One of those trollers was surprisingly the Textile Minister Smriti Irani who took him to task on the social networking site of Twitter. Irani hit back the sarcasm to Gandhi through her tweets bringing to surface the bad work by Congress.

Although Rahul Gandhi said that ‘acche din’ will only come after Congress comes back in power in 2019, it seems like Congress’ ‘ache din’ won’t come until they learn to reel in their Rahul!
