Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Gujarat and Tamil Nadu on the 28th and the 29th of July.

As confirmed by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO,) during the visit, Mr. Narendra Modi would inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several projects and attend programs in the two Indian states. 

Getting into the details, on the 28th of July, Mr. Narendra Modi would inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple projects worth Rs. 1,000 crores, of Sabar Dairy at Gadhoda Chowki, Sabarkantha in Gujarat.  Mr. Narendra Modi would also visit  GIFT City in Gandhinagar, where he will launch and lay the foundation stone of various projects. 

The PMO released a statement in this regard and said, “These projects will empower local farmers and milk producers and increase their income.  This will also give a boost to the rural economy in the region.”

Thereafter, PM Narendra Modi would travel to Chennai and declare the 44th Chess Olympiad, scheduled to be held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.   

After launching the Chess Olympiad, Mr. Narendra Modi would again visit Gujarat and inaugurate the Powder Plant at Sabar Dairy with a capacity of around 120 million tonnes per day (MTPD).  The total cost of the entire project is more than Rs. 300 crores.  Furthermore, he would launch the Aseptic Milk Packaging Plant at Sabar Dairy having a capacity of three lakh liter per day.  The project has been executed with a total investment of around Rs. 125 crores.  Besides, this, Mr. Narendra Modi would also lay the foundation stone of the Sabar Cheese & Whey Drying Plant Project, worth Rs. 600 crores. 

Meanwhile, on the 29th of July, the Prime Minister of India would visit GIFT City (Gujarat International Finance Tec-City) in Gandhinagar and lay the foundation stone for the headquarters building of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA,) the unified regulator for the development and regulation of financial products, financial services, and financial institutions in International Financial Services Centres (IFSCs) in India. 

Mr. Narendra Modi would also launch India International Bullion Exchange (IIBX), India’s first International Bullion Exchange in GIFT-IFSC. 

In Tamil Nadu, on the 29th of July, Mr. Narendra Modi would attend the 42nd Convocation of Anna University.  He would also attend an event, where he would award gold medals to 69 gold medalists.

The two-day visit of Mr. Narendra Modi to Tamil Nadu and Gujarat on the 28th and the 29th of July would be a power-packed occasion, with various launches and events to attend.
