The actor Pawan Kalyan led Janasena Party is all set to enter the general elections that will be held in 2019. On Tuesday, Pawan Kalyan announced that the party will be contesting in Telangana State and Andhra Pradesh in the elections.

Speaking to the media on the third anniversary of the Janasena party formation, Pawan Kalyan said that his party was never a part of National Democratic Alliance (NDA.) He also said that the party would decide about any political alliances or tie ups before the elections. He said, “First, we will build the party and then decide on alliances with other political parties.”

The leader of Janasena, Pawan Kalyan also said that he will take part in the elections and contest from the Anantapur district in Rayalaseema. He said that the reason behind this decision was with the hopes of developing the district. He promised this at last year’s rally and said that he intends to stand on his word.

Pawan Kalyan also said that he would be launching a program in June to strengthen the Jana Sena party in Telangana and Andhra. “The party will go to people with a 32 point agenda.” He also launched a website that he said would give priority to the youth in the party.
