Addressing the media, the Election Commission of Pakistan denied the possibility of holding fresh elections in just three months.

On the 5th of April, Tuesday, a senior official of the Election Commission (EC) said, “Delimitation is a time-consuming exercise where the law provides for one month just to invite objections”.

Notably, on April 4, Pakistan President denied the “No-Trust-Vote” and dissolved the 342 member National Assembly. He further asked to conduct fresh elections in 90 days.

It is to be noted, that the Imran Khan Government collapsed in Pakistan, as it is facing the worst economic and political crisis in the nation. Concerning this, the No Trust Vote was scheduled to be held in the Pakistan Assembly, which was canceled by the Pakistani President, citing it is against the Constitution of Pakistan. Furthermore, the President ordered fresh elections in Pakistan.

However, on Tuesday, the Pakistan Election Commission refused and said, it is logistically impossible to hold the election and prepare ballot papers, arrangements for a polling station, and others, in 90 days.
