Mr. D. Srinivas, the former leader of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is set to rejoin the party.

On the 27th of March, Monday, Mr. D. Srinivas would join the Indian National Congress Telangana Unit.

It is to be noted, in 2004, Mr. D. Srinivas played a key role and helped the Indian National Congress to be in power in the then the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh.  The Congress ruled the undivided Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from 2004 to 2009.

However, later in 2014, Mr. D. Srinivas joined the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) formerly known as the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, under the leadership of Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Now, after years, Mr. D. Srinivas again decided to join the Indian National Congress, making it like “home coming.”  After joining the Indian National Congress, Mr. D. Srinivas would participate in the  ‘Satyagraha’ protest against Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from Lok Sabha.

Mr. D. Srinivas said, “Rahul Gandhi is my leader.  How can you say that he doesn’t have the eligibility (of being an MP)?  Given the sacrifices made by that family & their experience, you can’t question his eligibility.  I am joining the party today.  I shall be a part of their ongoing protest.”

The joining event would be held in Hyderabad, on the 27th of March, Monday.
