Vijayawada: Vallabhaneni Vamshi Mohan, the YSRCP candidate for the Gannavaram Assembly Constituency in Vijayawada’s Krishna District, encountered health issues during a nomination rally on Thursday. The rally commenced from their residence on Davajigudem Road, with Vamshi accompanied by family members and supporters around 11:30 am.

However, after covering approximately a kilometer, Vamshi halted the procession, citing shortness of breath and inability to proceed further. Consequently, the rally participants turned back.

Undeterred, Vamshi proceeded to the Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) office along with four supporters in the same vehicle. While campaign chariots are mandated to halt within 100 meters of the ARO office,

Vamshi, citing health concerns, was permitted to reach the destination in the vehicle. After receiving medical attention and relief at the ARO office, Vamshi submitted his nomination papers. The incident underscores the physical challenges and rigorous demands of election campaigning.
