Amaravati: YS Sharmila’s joining the Congress party will not show any impact on the YSR Congress party, said party senior leader YV Subba Reddy.

He addressed the media after meeting CM YS Jagan at his camp office at Tadepalli on Tuesday. Reddy condemned the news spread over him mediating between Jagan and Sharmila.

“I never did mediation. I never speak politics with Sharmila or Vijayamma. People are with YS Jagan. I don’t have any clarity over YS Sharmila joining Congress party. We don’t bother if she joins another party,” Reddy said.

Responding to the change in assembly candidates he said, “We are doing intense exercise on winning 175/175 assembly seats. Shuffling of MLAs is to win majority seats. We are taking measures to ensure that the party doesn’t lose with change in candidates,” Reddy said.

Subba Reddy also commented that a few MLAs left the party due to personal reasons and decision of Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy to work with Sharmila is one among them.
