Visakhapatnam: Allegations flew as AP Congress President YS Sharmila Reddy accused Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of orchestrating legal maneuvers. Sharmila’s claims targeted AAG Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy, suggesting he acted under Jagan’s directives.

Dismissing the accusations, Sudhakar Reddy retorted, dismissing Sharmila’s remarks as lacking decorum and understanding. Sharmila criticized the inclusion of her singular address, asserting that the CBI’s omission of YSR’s name in the embezzlement case’s First Information Report (FAR) hinted at Jagan’s attempts to absolve himself by implicating his father.

Sharmila further alleged that within days of assuming office in 2019, Jagan appointed Ponnavolu as AAG, insinuating a connection to the filing of petitions. “Why grant such a post to someone involved in implicating his father?” questioned Sharmila, insinuating a dubious agenda behind the swift appointment.

The exchange underscores escalating tensions between political factions in Andhra Pradesh, hinting at deeper rifts and power struggles within the state’s political landscape.
