Vijayawada: City’s political landscape witnessed a significant development as Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) candidate for the parliamentary seat, Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni), formally filed his nomination on Friday.

The day commenced with Chinni’s visit to the revered Kanaka Durga temple and Dargah at Prakasam Barrage, where he offered special prayers before kickstarting his nomination rally.

A remarkable turnout marked the procession from Prakasam Barrage to the collector’s office on Mahatma Gandhi Road, drawing nearly 20,000 supporters and party members from Telugu Desam, Jana Sena, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as the rally featured Kerala drums, traditional dances, and folk performances, igniting the spirits of TDP leaders and supporters alike.

Expressing confidence, Kesineni Chinni filed his nomination, expressing hope for the overwhelming support of Vijayawada’s citizens for a resounding victory. He pledged to prioritize the comprehensive development of Vijayawada, promising a brighter future for the city and its residents.
