Vijayawada: In a move signaling the Jana Sena Party’s (JSP) growing momentum ahead of the upcoming elections, party chief Pawan Kalyan has intensified efforts in candidate selection. On Saturday, Kalyan announced the contenders for two crucial assembly segments, Polavaram and P Gannavaram, as part of the party’s strategic preparations.

The selection of candidates holds particular significance as Jana Sena has shown promising performance in recent local body elections, securing a commendable number of panchayats and local bodies in the P Gannavaram constituency.

Giddi Satyanarayana, a former police officer from Telangana who recently resigned from his position, has been nominated to contest from P Gannavaram, reflecting the party’s focus on fielding candidates with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

In a twist of events, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had initially nominated Mahasena Rajesh for the P Gannavaram seat, only to retract the proposal amidst controversy.

Additionally, Bala Raju has been chosen to represent the JSP in the Polavaram constituency, further solidifying the party’s lineup for the impending electoral battle.
