Jagan Fails to Fulfill Promise of Filling Teacher Posts Annually: AS Rama Krishna

Amaravathi: Jagan Mohan Reddy’s unfulfilled promise to address unemployment woes has come under scrutiny as AS Rama Krishna, a senior TDP leader, reveals the lack of action in filling teacher vacancies. Despite pledging to establish District Selection Committees (DSC) annually to fill these positions, Jagan’s tenure as Chief Minister has seen no such appointments in five years.

Highlighting the TDP’s track record of filling 1.7 lakh teacher posts via 12 DSCs during their reign, Rama Krishna criticizes Jagan for discontinuing vital schemes like Best Available Schools and Videsi Vidya, resulting in widespread job losses for educators. Moreover, Jagan’s disregard for educational improvement, evident in the closure of 25,000 schools and neglect of key policies, raises concerns among citizens.

Rama Krishna calls attention to Jagan’s apparent ignorance of educational legislation and accuses officials of prioritizing political agendas over academic welfare. With elections looming, the allocation of Rs 600 crore for textbooks raises suspicions of misuse of public funds for electoral gain.

As demands for electoral accountability grow, Rama Krishna urges the Election Commission to intervene and ensure fair practices in the education sector, signaling mounting discontent with Jagan’s governance.
