The semifinal match of the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup 2019 between the Indian Cricket Team and Team New Zealand was paused in the middle, on the 9th of July, due to rain.

On the 9th of July, Team India was scheduled to play against New Zealand in the first semifinal of the ICC World Cup 2019.

The 45th One Day International (ODI) match between India and New Zealand was held at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in England.

However, the match was paused due to rain, after the batting of Team New Zealand. Team New Zealand scored 211 runs with a loss of 5 wickets in 46.1 overs. According to sources, the rain continued for 4 hours straight, due to which, the ICC rescheduled the match for the 10th of July.

Although the Indian Cricket Team did not win the toss, they impressed with their performance in bowling against Team New Zealand.

The match will, on the 10th of July, resume from where it was paused, but according to the weather forecast, it is expected to rain today as well.

If the match is cancelled due to rain, Team India will directly go into the finals as per the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method, as Team India is the topmost ODI team with the highest points.
