Amaravati: In preparation for the upcoming state elections, the Election Commission of India has designated the common symbol ‘glass’ for the Janasena party. Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Kumar Meena has issued directives to all District Collectors to implement this decision.

Previously listed as a free symbol by the Election Commission, the ‘glass’ symbol will now be exclusively allotted to Janasena party candidates across all constituencies in the state, as per the provisions outlined in paragraph 10(b) of the rules for symbol allocation.

Janasena, in alliance with TDP and BJP, is fielding candidates in 21 Assembly and 2 Parliament seats for the upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, the Jai Bharat National Party, led by former CBI JD VV Lakshminarayana, has been assigned the ‘Torprit symbol’ for all constituencies by the EC. Additionally, the Election Commission has directed the application of the sugarcane farmer symbol to BCY party Ramachandrayadav, and allocated common symbols to 35 other parties across all constituencies.

These developments mark the Election Commission’s efforts to streamline the electoral process and ensure clarity for voters and candidates alike.
