The Hyderabad High Court (HC) conducted a hearing on the Revanth Reddy arrest petition filed by V. Narender Reddy, a Congress leader, at 4:00 P.M., on Tuesday.

The bench of two who heard the case included Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice M. Satyanarayana Murthy.

The Hyderabad Court reviewed the petition and disapproved of the Telangana Police’s actions. The HC asked the Telangana Police to submit the intelligence reports which were cited as the reason behind the arrest, by Wednesday, 10:15 A.M.

Revanth Reddy was arrested on Tuesday morning around 3 A.M., to prevent any protests ahead of K. Chandrashekar Rao’s public rally in Kodangal, Telangana. Mr. Reddy was released after 12 hours of being in preventive custody, on Tuesday evening, soon after KCR’s public rally finished.

The Congress party expressed anger over the bias of the Election Commission (EC) over Revanth Reddy’s arrest and lodged a complaint regarding the same. However, Rajat Kumar, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO,) Telangana, denied all the allegations and said they treat all the parties equally.

Rahul Gandhi, the Congress President, took to Twitter and expressed his views about Revanth Reddy’s arrest.
