Amid Russia-Ukraine crisis, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government brought back 15 students of Telangana, stranded in Ukraine.  The special Air India flights returned to Delhi, India on the 27th of February, with the first batch of students.

The Telangana students in Ukraine, arrived at the Indira Gandhi International airport, Delhi today (Sunday) morning, following which they arrived at the Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.  The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Shamshabad Mr. T. Prakash Goud, along with local corporators received the students, who arrived at the Hyderabad Airport today morning. Students who returned to India, extended gratitude to the Indian Government and said, it is good to be back. “Indian embassy was always supportive,” said a student.

The Telangana Government also extended gratitude and informed about the second batch of students, arriving India on late Sunday, following which students from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, would return to their native places. The aforementioned data was confirmed by Mr. R. Jagadiswar Reddy, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shamshabad.

Notably, despite the closure of airbase in Ukraine, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Ukraine President, the Union Government of India, arranged flights from Romania Bucharest, rescuing students from war zone of Ukraine, amid Russia-Ukraine conflict situation.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the 27th of February, assured to bring all the stranded Indians from Ukraine.
