William H. Gates Senior, the father of the Microsoft Co founder Bill Gates, passed away at the age of 94.

On the 14th of September, William H. Gates Sr., died at his residence in Washington, the United States of America.

The news broke out after Bill Gates through his Twitter handle confirmed the demise of his father.

Bill Gates, on the 15th of September, took to Twitter and said, “My dad was the “real” Bill Gates. He was everything I try to be and I will miss him every day.”

William H. Gates II was a lawyer and philanthropist and died peacefully from Alzheimer’s disease.

Paying tribute to his father, Bill Gates wrote, “My dad’s wisdom, generosity, empathy, and humility had a huge influence on people around the world.” The tribute further read, “As I got older, I came to appreciate my dad’s quiet influence on almost everything I have done in life. In Microsoft’s early years, I turned to him at key moments to seek his legal counsel. More than anyone else, he shaped the values of the foundation. He was collaborative, judicious, and serious about learning”.

The tribute written for William H. Gates II read, “The experience of being the son of Bill Gates was incredible. People used to ask my dad if he was the real Bill Gates. The truth is, he was everything I try to be. I will miss him every day.”

William H. Gates II was born in 1925 and was a lawyer by profession.

William H. Gates is survived by three children, Kristianne, Bill and Libby.
