At least 44 people were killed and several others were wounded in twin bomb blasts on Wednesday in the Kurdish-controlled city of Qamishli in Syria. Islamic State claimed the responsibility for the attack.
According to reports, a truck loaded with explosives had blown up on the western edge of the town of Qamishli adn then a few minutes later, a motorcycle packed with explosives blown up in the same area. Rescue efforts are underway and are working to recover victims from the attack.
