Hyderabad: Telangana state government started exercise to appoint chairman and members of Telangana state public service commission (TSPSC). State government on Friday issued a notification seeking applications from eligible candidates for the position of chairman and members of TSPSC.

Telangana state chief secretary Santha Kumari in a press release stated that the Governor Tamilisai Soundara Rajan accepted the resignations of former TSPSC chairman Janardhan Reddy and other members and hence the government had decided to recruit the new TSPSC board in a transparent manner. She said that applications will be accepted until 5pm on January 18, 2024. 

She said that the search committee will be appointed to scrutinize the applications and a proper board will be deployed. Altogether 11 members including the chairman will be appointed. Santha Kumari said that this is the first time that the state government issued a notification to fill vacant constitutional positions after the formation of Telangana.
