Delhi: Telangana government requested union minister for commerce and industry Piyush Goyal to approve the proposal of establishing a new industrial corridor between Hyderabad-Vijayawada (Via Miryalaguda). Chief minister A Revanth Reddy along with deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka submitted a representation to the union minister explaining the significance of the agriculture sector in the region and stressed on promoting agro based industries in this region. 

Revanth requested Piryush Goyal to take necessary measures to release pending funds from the industries and commerce department. Piyush Goyal congratulated CM Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Mallu who recently assumed charges. Piyush responded positively to the proposal of establishing a Mega leather park in Telangana state. Piyush asked the higher officials of the ministry to prepare estimates for the leather park.

Revanth Reddy also requested the center to set up the Indian Institute of Handlooms Technology in the state for which the minister gave in principle approval.
