Kabul: At least 20 killed and several injured in suicide bomb blast in a military bus at Pul-e-Charkhi area Kabul early Monday morning. Over two dozen ambulances have been rushed to the spot.
A Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility of the attack on social media, claiming it was “against the forces of aggression” in Afghanistan.

According to the local sources, the police bus was carrying government employees to their offices in the city. The casualties appeared to include both Afghans and Nepalese security contractors, Kabul police chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi said.

This is the first attack in Kabul since the start of holy fasting month of Ramadan on June 6. The last attack in the Afghan capital on April 19 left 64 dead and more than 340 wounded.
