Ustad Pyarelal Wadali the younger brother of Ustad Puran Chand Wadali passed away this morning in Amritsar. The Sufi singer was 75 years old. Mr. Pyarelal Wadali was admitted at the Fortis Escorts Hospital in Amritsar where he breathed his last.  

The Wadali brothers are well known for there Punjabi Sufi music. The two brother began performing live shows at the Harballah temple in Jalandhar. They were amazing musicians and were masters of Kaafian, Ghazal and Bhajan as well.

The extremely talented brothers contributed their music to the Bollywood industry. In 2011 the brothers recorded Aye Rangrez Mere for Tanu Weds Manu. They were also behind the song Ik Tu Hi Tu Hi from the 2011 film Mausam. Pyarelal is from the fifth generation of Sufi musicians in his family tasked with singing the words of the Sufi saints.

In 1992, the brothers were awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for his brilliant work.
