Today is the day that will go down in the Congress Party’s history as Rahul Gandhi takes over as the Party’s President. Sonia Gandhi arrived at the Congress Headquarters along with former Union Minister Ambika Soni.
Congress workers are excited about Rahul Gandhi’s coronation and are bursting firecrackers and doing the Bhangra outside the Headquarters. The Certificate of Election will be handed to Rahul Gandhi by the Party’s Central Election Authority President Mullapally Ramachandran at 11 A.M.
The change in leadership for the Congress Party is just two days before the results of the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Elections are announced. The grand event will be attended by former PM Manmohan Singh, Senior Leaders, present and former Chief Ministers of the party and all the Pradesh Congress Committee Chiefs.
