On Wednesday, the prime suspect in the bombings of Brussels was caught by the police, according to Belgian media reports. The suspect, Najim Laachraoui, was arrested in the Anderlecht district. However, there is no official confirmation from the officials of police. A federal prosecutors announced they would hold a news conference at 12 p.m. GMT (5.30 p.m. IST).

On Tuesday, the twin blasts in the city sent shivers among the people. The deadly explosions claimed the lives of 35 people and also wounded nearly 200 others. Security has been beefed up in the major centres of the city and the police have launched manhunt for the suspects. The photograph of suspects (three men) has been published by the authorities and the investigation is underway.
