Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy responded to the AP government’s move to take half of Nagarjuna Sagar Dam under its control. Revanth said that the move is politically motivated to influence the people of Telangana and benefit a particular political party. He asked the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Telangana to intervene in the issue and take immediate action.

Revant Reddy addressing the media said that K Chandrasekhar Rao who served as chief minister of the state ignored the interstate disputes for the last 10 years. People know that KCR and PC CM YS Jagan have good ties and the issue would have been solved amicably. “India and Pakistan are sharing water without any disputes. But AP and Telangana are unable to share water and create disputes. This move of AP should be seen in a political angle as they did it a few hours before elections,” Revanth said.

Revanth asked people of Telangana not to consider such politically motivated moves and vote for the future of the state. Revanth assured that the Congress government will resolve interstate disputes and protect the interests of Telangana.
