Rahul Gandhi, the President of the Indian National Congress (INC,) on the 8th of April, will address a public rally in Telangana, ahead of the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

Mr. Gandhi will reach Telangana and hold public meetings in Bhongir and Mahabubabad.

Venkat Reddy, a Member of Parliament (MP) candidate, will represent the INC from the Bhongir constituency.

This would be the third visit of Rahul Gandhi to Telangana for the purpose of campaigning, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Recently, on the 1st of April, Mr. Gandhi launched the INC campaign in the State, for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He addressed public rallies in Zaheerabad, Wanaparthy and Huzurnagar.

The public meeting scheduled on the 8th of April would be the last meeting of Mr. Gandhi for the elections, as the Telangana Lok Sabha elections will be held on the 11th of April.

The INC has fielded a total of 17 MP Candidates, who will represent the INC from all the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana.

The major parties contesting the Telangana Lok Sabha elections are the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the INC.

The results of the Telangana Lok Sabha elections will be declared on the 23rd of May.
