Giriraj Singh, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a Union Minister of India, on the 26th of March, expressed his disappointment with the Party, and said, his self respect is hurt.

Mr. Giriraj said, “My self respect is hurt that no other MP’s seat was changed in Bihar. It was decided without talking to me. The State BJP leadership should tell me why it was done. I’ve nothing against Begusarai but I can’t compromise with my self respect.”

The BJP, on the 25th of March, changed the seat of Mr. Giriraj, the Member of Parliament (MP) candidate from Nawada, to Begusarai, without discussing it with Mr. Singh.

Giriraj Singh, disappointed with the decision, may not represent Begusarai as his self respect was hurt because of the actions of the BJP.
