Kalvakuntla Kavitha, the current Member of Parliament (MP) of the Nizamabad constituency, on the 27th of March, addressed a public rally at a road show in Jagtial district, Telangana.

The rally was conducted as a campaign strategy, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana.

Kavitha, a member of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) spoke about the development projects launched by the Party for the people of Telangana.

Ms. Kavitha said, the Party is dedicated towards the growth and development of the weaker sections of the society. She said, the TRS, the ruling Government in Telangana, decided to sanction an amount of Rs. 5 lakhs to the individuals who have land and wish to build a house.

Ms. Kavitha further said, the Party also decided to give a 2BHK house each to the poor families in the upcoming years. In addition, the TRS also allotted Rs. 2,800 crores in the Telangana Budget for unemployed youth and loans for the people dependent on caste professions (Kulavruttulu.)

Ms. Kavitha said, the Party will initiate actions to fulfil all the promises made before the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

Telangana will contest a total of 17 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, scheduled on the 11th of April 2019.

The major parties contesting the Lok Sabha elections in Telangana are the TRS, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC.)

The results of the Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
