After making everyone wait with bated breath for its manifesto, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) finally released its manifesto on the 8th of April, around 12:05 P.M.

Days before the Lok Sabha elections start, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah, announced the Sankalp Patra (document of resolution,) a manifesto with 75 pledges!

The announcement was made at a gathering in the presence of major party members. While addressing the group, BJP leader Amit Shah said, “The Party promises the people of India a transparent, strong and decisive government and urged voters to bring the Party back to power. Our ‘Sankalp Patra’ promises to fulfil all expectations of the people.”

Calling the promises ‘75 promises for India@75,’ the BJP said, its manifesto was a promise to all the citizens of India. Here are the key points of the manifesto:

  1. Purchase of outstanding defence equipment will be fast tracked and the armed forces will be strengthened.
  2. Security will continue to have a free hand and there is going to be zero tolerance towards terrorism.
  3. The National Register of Citizens (NRC) will be implemented in different phases across the Country.
