Siddipet: Online games had claimed the lives of a constable’s family at Siddipet on Friday. The constable got addicted to the online games and lost a huge amount in it. Failing to pay loans he killed his family members with his service revolver and killed himself as well.

As per the details provided by the Siddipet police, Akula Naresh(35) is a native of Ramunipatnam of Siddipet district and he is working as armed reserve constable and posted as personal security guard of district collector. Naresh was married to Chaitanya(30) for 8 years and they had two children Revant (7) and Hitha Sri (5).

Chaitanya is presently working as a teacher at a private school. On Friday Naresh took his service revolver home and killed his wife Chaitanya, son Revant and daughter Hitasri and shot himself at point black. Neighbors who noticed the loud sound informed the family members of Naresh. Friends and neighbors went in shock after seeing Naresh and his family dead inside the home.

Police informed that Naresh lost around Rs.70 lakhs in online games and betting and was unable to repay the dues, though he sold his portion of land.

Siddipet police commissioner N Swetha inspected the spot and told the media that Naresh took this extreme step after being struck in debt burden.
