Hyderabad: Congress party is showing a clear lead from the first round of the counting process at Telangana. Congress is leading at 65 assembly constituencies and racing to cross the magic number of 60 seats easily.

Counting of votes has begun on an interesting note in Telangana. Election Commission of India (ECI) arranged 49 counting stations across Telangana in which 1766 counting tables were arranged.

Congress dominated Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) right from the counting of postal ballots. Congress got a clear lead at 60 constituencies in the Postal ballot, while BRS managed to lead in 40 constituencies.

In an interesting development Telangana Congress president Revanth Reddy is dominating at Kodangal. Revanth Reddy got 5687 votes at Kodangal after the fourth round of polling.

BRS is showing clear domination in the greater Hyderabad area. AIMIM which dominates 7 constituencies at Hyderabad old city is continuing its show.

As per the official statistics of ECI, Congress secured 40.3% vote share until 10.30 am and BRS secured around 38% vote share. BJP received tremendous growth in terms of polling percentage.
