Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story recorded a marvelous box office collection and is set to hit the mark of Rs. 150 crores.

On the 16th of May, the total collection of the film across India was Rs. 147 crores, including Rs. 10 crores, on the 15th of May.

The Kerala Story made Rs. 8.03 crore on its first day, Rs. 11 crore on the first Saturday, Rs. 16.40 crore on the first Sunday,  and continued with the collection and would soon cross Rs. 150 crores mark. 

Despite ban and controversies, the film is doing fine at the Box Office and drew the attention of audiences who are going to theaters to watch the film. Notably, the movie is also tax free in Uttar Pradesh, and many Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders are urging people to watch the movie, which is claimed to be a true story of many Kerala women, who were forced to turn to an ISIS terrorist.
