Pune: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was imprisoned in an arms related to the 1993 Mumbai blasts, was released from Pune’s Yerwada Jail this morning. Munna Bhai expressed his gratitude by saluting the prison, touched the land then hefted a large bag on his shoulder and walk away with freedom.

56-year-old actor walked out with freedom by taking few articles like clutch of paper bags he prepared while serving time in Yerawada Central Jail. Dutt, jail sources say, wants to show these items to his family as he considers them to be his most valued possessions.

Sanjay Dutt’s family and friends have been patiently counting days to February 25, 2016, and finally the day has arrived. They have planned a big welcome for Sanju baba. He was received by his family along with the director Rajkumar rajkumar Hirani.

Munna Bhai will reportedly first visit Mumbai’s famous Siddhivinayak temple to offer prayers. From there, he will head to his mother Nargis Dutt’s grave in Marine Lines before heading to his Pali Hill home.

Dutt earned Rs 38,000, Rs 50 per working day during his time in jail by making paper bags, he spent most of the money buying items of daily use from the prison canteen.
