Chennai: Super star Rajinikanth starrer “Kabali” opened to packed houses on July 22 and is still riding high at the box office with its incredible collections. On the first day, the movie collected Rs 48 crore and left Salman Khan’s film “Sultan” far behind.

The much-hyped movie managed to earn Rs 650 crore worldwide at the ticket windows. According to reports, “Kabali” earned Rs 211 crore at Indian box office out of which over Rs 40 crore were collected in North India. The flick also done well in Japan, Malaysia etc. According to Financial Express, Kabali has earned Rs 259 crore in the foreign markets. The movie might collect Rs 700 crore in coming days, as per trade analysts.

Written and directed by Pa. Ranjith, the film is one the most-talked-about films of the year. Critically acclaimed actress Radhika Apte is seen playing the romantic lead role opposite Rajini.
