Sharad Pawar, the President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP,) on the 12th of August  commented on the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

Mr. Pawar said, “I don’t think it is such a big issue. A farmer told me that over 20 farmers have died by suicide, nobody spoke about it,” Pawar said.

Sharad Pawar said the unfortunate death of Sushant Singh Rajput is a loss for India.  However, it should not be discussed this far.

Mr. Pawar also said, “I’ve seen Maharashtra & Mumbai police for the last 50 years and I trust them. I don’t want to comment on what others have accused them of. If someone thinks that the CBI or any other agency should probe the matter then I won’t oppose it.”

On the 14th of June, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly commited suicide at his Bandra residence in Mumbai.

However, after Mumbai police’s investigation and Bihar Police’s involvement, the case is now being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI.)

In addition, Sushant’s father, K.K. Singh also filed a money laundering case against Rhea Chakraborty who is also a Bollywood actress and alleged girlfriend of late Sushant Singh Rajput.

The CBI and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are investigating the money laundering case and death case.
