Chennai: The much-appreciated Malayalam drama “Charlie” that had Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy Menon in the leads won hearts of millions with the unique plot. The movie emerged as a blockbuster at the box office and also helped to raise the standards of M-Town.

Now, buzz says that the actor with chocolate boy looks, Madhavan will be seen playing the title role in the Tamil remake. An acclaimed movie maker Vijay is expected to direct the remake. Though there is no official confirmation in this regard, reports surfaced stating that Maddy will reprise the role of Dulquer in the forthcoming film.

Written by Prakkat, “Charlie” is a romantic drama. Filmmaker Martin Prakkat directed the much-loved film, which won eight awards at the 46th Kerala State Film Awards, including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Cinematography.
