This weekend Karan Johar had the upcoming “Rangoon” movie stars Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan on his couch on Koffee With Karan. All through the evening, Kangana Ranaut stole the show with her witty comments and her unfiltered opinions spilling through.

Karan johar amidst the show confessed to Kangana, that after “Gangster,” he did not expect the actress to make it big in the industry. Though good with acting, he said, he looked at her as a one hit actress and to fade into oblivion. To this the actress reminded Karan, that not only did Karan think so, he also mocked her English. Instead of these comments breaking her, she only made it her driving power and reached the heights today. Kangana expressed how even Aditya Chopra looked down on her and how she struggled to prove them wrong. Well, the result as we see today is, she is the ‘Queen‘ and we look forward to her next ventures eagerly.

 

Speaking to the Nawab Saif Ali Khan, the filmmaker asked him about the controversy surrounding his son Taimur’s name and mocked Saif asking if he was funding the rumors to increase publicity. Saif laughed about this light-heartedly and said that Taimur means iron and that there was nothing he would change about his son. The queen also expressed how bad she found that a newborn was made into such a huge controversy.


The love hate relationship of Kangana-Karan was quite evident on the screen. The actress even went on to call Karan the Mafia of Bollywood and how he looked down upon outsiders and also called him the flag bearer of nepotism. Kangana also did not hide her jealousy about the success of “Dangal” and the huge amount of money it made, which is close to Rs. 700 crores. She also said that if her biopic was ever made Karan will be the antagonist in her story.

Until the end of the show, Kangana showed her mettle and remained a true star we want and the star we would love to see on screen.
