On the 10th of June, Ghantasala Ratnakumar, the son of legendary singer Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao, passed away. 

According to sources, the Tollywood singer died during the early hours of Thursday, due to a cardiac arrest. He was admitted at Kaveri Hospital in Chennai, where he took his last breath during the treatment.

It is to be noted, Ghantasala Ratnakumar was suffering from Kidney related issues and was on dialysis for the last few months. His visit to Kaveri Hospital was also often prevailing his health conditions.

In addition, a few days back, the Singer contracted with the deadly Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) However, in the recently held COVID-19 test, he tested negative for the virus.

The Legendary singer Ghantasala Ratnakumar is survived by 4 daughters and 4 sons.

Ratnakumar Rao, the second son of the legendary Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao, was a famous dubbing artist in the Tollywood industry. He even entered the India Book of Records for dubbing eight hours non-stop.

As a dubbing artist, Ghantasala Ratnakumar Rao dubbed for almost 40 years in more than 1,500 films in languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and Sanskrit. He also dubbed his voice to over 15, 000 episodes in Telugu and Tamil serials and more than 50 documentaries.

Many celebrities and fans took to Twitter and expressed their condolences to the family of Ghantasala Ratnakumar Rao.
