D-Day: Box office battle between “Dilwale” and “Bajirao Mastani”

Mumbai: Finally, the D-day has come! The mega box office battle between much-talked-about upcoming films “Dilwale” and “Bajirao Mastani” has begun. Both the movies opened in packed houses with incredible hype and expectations.

Multi-starrer “Dilwale” opened in theatres today. Starring Bollywood’s most favourite couple, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, in romantic lead roles, the family drama is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Touted to be romantic-comedy under the direction of Rohit Shetty, the film also introduces the new pairing, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in major roles.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s dream project “Bajirao Mastani” is another biggie in the tinsel town, which grabbed the eyeballs of the viewers with its content. The magnum opus features B-Town’s most alleged off-screen love birds, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, in prominent roles. Global star Priyanka Chopra will be seen playing an important character in the period drama, which tells us a story of Maratha legend Baji Rao 1.
