Kareena wants her son to follow grandfather Pataudi!

Kareena Kapoor Khan gave birth to a son, Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, two weeks ago. And like every mother Kareena has started dreaming about her son’s future. The baby was in the headlines even before he was born and is even now maintaining that for all the right and wrong reasons.

After he was born, the proud parents decided to name him Taimur, which sent the Twitterati into a rage. Venom started spreading because the baby shares his name with the 14th-century conqueror who killed millions of Indians.

The Kapoor and the Khan families were traumatized because of this. Randhir Kapoor, Kareena’s father, and uncle Rishi Kapoor took to Twitter about parents having the freedom to name their own child. Randhir speaking to Anand Bazaar Patrika said, “I still cannot believe that just because a few people did not like a baby’s name, they wanted the baby to die. I am sure that these people don’t know that in Arabic, Taimur means iron.”

Randhir expressed to his daughter about playing with both her’s and Karishma’s children when Kareena confessed her wish. The new mom asked her father to make to sure that her son plays cricket like his grandfather Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.
