Anushka Sharma Announces Next Production “Phillauri”

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma bagged success as a producer with super hit thriller film “NH10”. Now, she is ready to score another blockbuster with her second production titled “Phillauri“. The actress took to Twitter and announced the project. On her Twitter handle, she wrote, Happy 2 announce our next production venture – PHILLAURI, with @foxstarhindi & costarring @diljitdosanjh, Suraj Sharma.”

“Life of Pi” star Suraj Singh will be seen playing a lead role and singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, who is gearing up for his Bollywood debut, “Udta Punjab”, is also playing a major role.

The actress is co-producing the film with with Fox Star Studios.Touted to be an uncommon romantic comedy, the film will be directed by debutant Anshai Lal.

Anushka said, “Phillauri has a unique premise. It took almost 100 years, a crazy Punjabi wedding and rank strangers to complete this love story, and that’s the crux of the film.”
