The Censor Board for Film Critic (CBFC) in India gave an ‘A’ certificate to the upcoming release of Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2.

This is the first time in the past 12 years that a film by Akshay Kumar has received an ‘A’ (only Adult) certificate.  The last movie of Akshay Kumar which was given an ‘A’ certificate was in 2011, for his movie Desi Boyz.

Furthermore, speaking of the film OMG 2, it is a sequel of 2012 released OMG (Oh My God) starring Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar.  The sequel would also feature Akshay Kumar, this time instead of Paresh Rawal, the second lead is Pankaj Tripathi.  Notably, Paresh Rawal  was offered the film first, but he declined the offer claiming that he didn’t like the story of OMG 2.

Speaking of the ‘A’ certification, one of the major issues surrounding ‘OMG 2’ revolves around Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Lord Shiva in the film, story plot of sex education and violence, said Censor Board film sources.

The trailer of the film is also yet to be launched, whereas the directed by Amit Rai-directorial is scheduled to release on the 11th of August.
