On the 28th of April, Tollywood actor Allu Arjun took to social media and informed he tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. 

The actor took to social media and said, “Hello Everyone! I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have isolated myself at home and have been following all the protocols. I request those who have come in contact with me to get tested. Stay home, stay safe and get vaccinated when you get the chance. I request all my well-wishers and fans not to worry about me as I am doing fine (sic).”

Soon after hearing the news of Allu Arjun being COVID-19, fans wished for his speedy recovery.

The actor was working on his upcoming project

Pushpa. He has been home since the shooting was postponed due to the second wave of the COVID-19 infection. Recently in April, his first look of the film was released.

The film is directed by Sukumar, with sound by Oscar winner Resul Pookutty. It is slated to release on the 13th of August.
