Telugu Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar Tests COVID-19 Positive

Puvvada Ajay Kumar, the Cabinet minister of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

On the 15th of December, Puvvada Ajay Kumar, the Minister of Transport in Telangana, took to Twitter and confirmed the news.

Mr. Kumar said, “#RTPCR పరీక్షల్లో నాకు #COVID పాజిటివ్ అని తేలింది.దయచేసి నాకు ఫోన్ చేయడానికీ, కలుసుకోవడానికీ ప్రయత్నించకండి. నాతో కార్యక్రమాల్లో పాల్గొన్న ప్రతి ఒక్కరు టెస్ట్ చేసుకోవాలని మనవి. హోం ఐసోలాషన్ లో ఉన్నాను. ఆందోళన చెందాల్సిన పని లేదు. మళ్ళీ యధావిధిగా అన్ని కార్యక్రమాల్లో పాల్గొంటాను.”

Translated: “In RT-PCR test, COVID-19, turns to be positive. Please do not try to contact me. I urge everyone involved with me to take the test. I am in home isolation. No need to worry. I will participate in all the activities as usual again.”

Mr. Kumar who is currently under home isolation and confirmed to be in stable condition with minor symptoms of the COVID-19 infection.

Meanwhile, in the past 24 hours, Telangana reported 491 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus.

Till date, Telangana has 2,78,599 positive cases, of which 2,69,828 people recovered/discharged, 7,272 are active cases and 1,499 have died.
