The Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is rising in the Telugu state of Telangana.

On the 24th of May evening, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Health Department confirmed 50 new cases of the Wuhan virus in 24 hours.  Besides new cases, the State registered 45 recoveries and 0 deaths.

The number of Wuhan virus cases was confirmed after conducting 12,480 sample tests in the past 24 hours, of which 50 tested Wuhan virus positive and the results of 383 samples are awaited.  According to the Telangana Health Ministry, the State Health Department has conducted a total of 3,49,32,388 tests in the State.

With this, Telangana currently has 7,92,948 positive cases, of which 377 are active cases, 4,111 deceased cases and  7,88,460 recovered/discharged cases till the 25th of May, Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the recovery rate from the Wuhan virus in Telangana is 99.43%.
